Church Nursery
Center Road had a core of wonderful volunteers to provide care for Nursery aged children during Bible Classes and Worship Services. It gives mom and/or dad a chance to worship or serve and our volunteers provide excellent care for the kiddos in a beautiful room dedicated to the littlest ones.

Oklahoma Tornado Relief
We’ve only just begun the effort, but we are getting lots of encouragement about helping the folks in Oklahoma suffering from the recent tornadoes there. Life seems to move on, but for those who were hit by the storm, life equals disruption for years. Kokomo is still recovering from recent flood damage, but we’ve heard from lots of people in the community thanking us for this effort.
Here’s an update on our efforts.
- We are now receiving donations at Center Road. Those items will be loaded and transported on June 12. Details Here.
- We’ve been invited to First Friday in the Kokomo Downtown District on June 7th! We’ll be at the courthouse with a truck and trailer to receive supplies there. Special thanks to Carrie Hair of LeaderOne Financial Corp. for inviting us. Learn more about Kokomo Downtown’s First Friday.
- A group at Northwestern Elementary in Howard County are gathering school supplies the schools hit by the tornado.
- We planning a joint effort between Center Road church of Christ of Kokomo, and Green Valley church of Christ of Noblesville to travel to Moore, Oklahoma to help out. Details Here.
Visit the sites above or the churches or just come see us on June 7th Downtown! Thanks for your prayers and support.

Walt’s House
Walt and Shirley are eternally grateful to everyone who has helped them with their flood damage.
There has been a large outpouring of support and help. At this point, their house will enter a construction phase as drywall must be cut out and other repairs made.
If you have questions or just want to touch base, feel free to call the McIndoo’s home number. You can also email them at: wmcindoo77@aol.com
Also, please bear in mind that there are many in Kokomo who are in need of assistance. Learn more here.

SonLight Station
There is an awesome work going on in the Center Road facilities that is helping hosts of children and their families. SonLight Station Preschool meets throughout the week to not only prepare kids for Kindergarten, but to help them grow in character, particularly, the character of Jesus. I am blessed to walk through the facilities and interact with the staff and the kids throughout the year. Sonlight has been an ongoing effort by a host of wonderful people for many years. As a matter of fact, this year the first class of kids graduated from High School. If you have preschool age kids or kids moving in that direction, let me encourage you to consider SonLight Station for them.
This weekend presents a special opportunity as the School is having a Chili Dinner/Cook-off Bake Sale. Come to a fun evening and help a great cause. Here are the details.
Winterfest 2013
Special thanks to our leaders, Tom & Bonny Peterson as well as to Alan Edwards, Lisa Wagner, Vonda Carter, Kevin Sagarsee, and Wes Smith. The weekend was great in every way.
Laptops for Malawi
This is great. A Boy Scout and young brother in Christ is doing something to help Malawi. He’s collecting laptops and his sister is collecting those pesky text books so many are getting rid of. Read More here…
