Vice President of Professional Development

The leading and largest professional association for project managers in Indiana withpmicic1 over 1,500 members of which more than 1,100 are professional credential holders. In addition to the typical duties of this volunteer position, I managed the flagship project of the chapter’s year, the Professional Development Day.

I served as the Project Manager for the Professional Development Day.

Led team to conduct the PDD with a hybrid approach as Scrum Master and Project Manager.

Conducted Weekly Stand Ups with team in person and/or by phone conference.

Duties in this role:

Develops and conducts PMICIC educational programs, activities, and materials in accordance with the purposes of the chapter while performing the duties incident to the office of the Vice President of Professional Development and such other duties as assigned by the President or Board.

●Educate, develop, and mentor reporting directors and ensure compliance to policies and procedures of the chapter.
● Participate and support chapter events to the extent possible.
● Embrace and support the chapter’s efforts in reaching out to and engaging potential members in the entire Central Indiana service area.

Operations Team

Project Management Professional Development Day 2016 Speaker Acquisition Committee Chair leading teams tasked with Speaker Management for the event.

☑ Speaker and Presenters recruitment project plan, execution and monitoring.

☑ Selection and management of multiple keynote and break out presentations.

★ Managed ongoing Chapter Speaker and Professional Development Activity.

☑ Researched, cataloged, and vetted potential speakers for professional development meetings.

☑ Worked closely to document and execute speaker arrangements. Provides pertinent information to Board of Directors and Marketing arms of the organization in status meetings or otherwise as needed.

☑ Oversaw recruitment and management of speakers for frequent project management programs.

☑ Served on 2015 Project Communications committee providing strategic guidance.

Researches, catalogues, and vets potential speakers for professional development meetings. Leads committee in recruiting speakers for annual professional development event. Works closely to document and execute speaker arrangements. Provides pertinent information to Board of Directors and Marketing arms of the organization in status meetings or otherwise as needed.
